We’re Curious Yellow and we’d very much like to invite you to our party - it’s what we do you see. We’ve been inviting people to our parties since we erected our very first geodome in Wales way back in the year 2000. Since then we’ve gone from strength to strength, growing our following as well as our capabilities. 2012 sees Curious Yellow finally come of age as we launch our first proper grown-up festival: The Curious Yellow Weekend in association with The Electro Swing Club Cambridge. 3 days, 3 stages and as much fun as we can possibly cram into that time and space.
Our philosophy is based on the best of the underground free party movement, starting with Deeply Vale in the 1970’s and moving to the Black Sheep parties of the 1990’s. With our first festival we aim to take that ethos and apply it across the board, catering for as wide a range of tastes as possible. From spoken word workshops and late-night comedy clubs through skanking ska and gypsy punk to full-on pounding techno. Whatever your favourite flavour is, we think we’ve probably got something lined up just for you.
